Rules for Au Pair Meeting attendance
Our monthly au pair meetings are announced in advance with plenty of notice (2-3 months), to allow both au pairs and host families to fit it in their schedules. We will be doing a variety of things, some meetings are free, others involve a small fee for each au pair which sometimes has to be paid in advance.
Every au pair must attend at least one (1) meeting each month. As long as your work schedule permits, you are welcome to attend more than one, if offered that month! Be sure to discuss the meeting schedule with your host parents and so they can plan their schedule around the meeting schedule.
You can’t miss more than 2 meetings during your year. It is required that you attend at least 10 of the 12 monthly meetings for successful completion of the program.
Four (4) CEP Safety topics. It is each au pair’s responsibility to make sure s/he’s attended at least 4 topics during the year for successful completion of the program.
RSVP/Payment. Respond in advance with Sabine, and if there is any payment required, pay by the deadline given in order to attend. NEW! USE PAYPAL TO MAKE PAYMENT IN ADVANCE WITH A CREDIT CARD! SEE LINK TO THE RIGHT.
Transportation. Has to be provided by the host family, carpooling with other au pairs in your area is recommended.
Arrive on time. If you’re going to arrive late, you’re welcome to still come and join us!
Participate! To get credit for attending, you must actively participate in the event. For example, if we’re going to a bowling event, you’ll want to actually rent shoes and try bowling while you’re there! It’s more fun when everyone participates. If you don’t like a particular activity, please plan to attend a different meeting that month.
If you are unable to attend a meeting, it is your responsibility to contact your LCC in advance to let her know why you will not be coming.
